Welcome to day 2 of our fast. Last night we had a great time worshipping Jesus and then giving him space to speak as we engaged with the various stations. Tonight we’ll continue. Thanks to those who let us know what they felt Jesus was saying. I’ll try to summarise to guide your prayer today:
There was a demonstration of the instinctive reaction of a parent to the upstretched arms of a child. A parent naturally responds in love, how much more our Father in heaven. There is a call to consecration in this. Only when the child turns their attention away from other things and towards the parent are they fully able to engage with the parents loving embrace.
As we receive Fathers love and are empowered and emboldened by this, he has more for us than we can ask or imagine, so that we can be a blessing to those he has sent us to. There is a whole world right beside us, waiting to encounter Him, waiting for us to share Him. As we are constantly aware of who lives in us, among us and through us, we see his life flowing through us to draw others to him.
Psalm 19:9-10
9Reverence for the Lord is pure,
lasting forever.
The laws of the Lord are true;
each one is fair.
10 They are more desirable than gold,
even the finest gold.
They are sweeter than honey,
even honey dripping from the comb.
Lets enjoy his love today as we set ourselves apart for him, totally committed to allowing him to move through us to bring his Kingdom to earth.
