Prayer is one of the most important things we can do. When we pray we connect with God! In prayer we depend on God, seek God, and enjoy God. We believe God hears and responds to prayer.
It’s important for every believer to be spending time alone with God regularly, but we also see in the bible the church coming together to lift their voices to God in prayer – passionately crying out for God to move in various situations.
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Colossians 4:2
As KingsGate Kingston we have many regular moments of gathered prayer:
- before our Sunday Services,
- weekly intercessory prayer led by Dom Naidoo and his team
- Annual time of prayer with other Kingston churches
- Annual Prayer & Fasting with the whole KingsGate family.
In April 2017, we’re super excited to be launching our new monthly prayer meetings: ONE VOICE!
We will continue to keep the pattern of meeting on the first Thursday of every full week of the month – this will allow CG’s to be able to close down that week and prioritise One Voice prayer times.
One Voice | Local
One Voice Local meetings will take place in people’s homes – just like the early church! We’ll gather together, share a meal, and pray.
Over the rest of this year, these are our dates for One Voice | Local meetings:
- April 6th
- June 8th
- July 6th
- Dec 7th
To start with, we’ll be meeting in these three homes:
- Gaitskells: 73 Twining Avenue, Twickenham, TW2 5LL
- Harpers: 21 Moresby Ave, Surbiton, KT5 9DT
- Buys: Flat 1, 31a Knights Park, Kingston, KT1 2QH
Choose a home that’s closest to you and join us at 7:15pm for dinner. We’ll be done by 9pm.
One Voice | Gathered
Some months we want to gather all together, united in prayer, as KingsGate Kingston. We’ll meet at the church building at 7:15pm for a meal followed by prayer.
