Fasting Day 4 – 2022

Morning all

Last day of fasting and for me it’s been good so far. Funnily enough when we create space for God to speak, he does. Could be a life lesson there somewhere. Someone famous once said he who has ears, let him hear!

Last night in Cobham we finished with speaking blessing and life over things around us. Our families, our church, our community, our nation but also the dreams, prophetic words, callings that have been set down over time, calling them back to life.

In Ezekiel 37 God shows the prophet a valley of dry bones, all thats left of an army. A totally hopeless situation but God tells Ezekiel to prophesy life over the bones and as he does so God reconstitutes the army. God is encouraging us to look at the ‘dry bones’ situations around us and to begin to speak life over them. As we step out in faith by speaking these words, God empowers them to bring life back into these dead situalions.

Sometime we use our own words to speak life over situations, sometimes the Spirit gives us specific words to say and sometimes we can speak scripture over them. Here’s a few options below:

Psalm 128:5-6

5May the Lord continually bless you from Zion.
    May you see Jerusalem prosper as long as you live.
May you live to enjoy your grandchildren.
    May Israel have peace!

Numbers 6:23 – 27

“Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:

24 “‘“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’

27 “So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”

Or you may want to sing it!

There’s enough negativity, doom and gloom and poisonous words out there to keep the world supplied for a century.

Lets be children of light and speak the Fathers blessing over situations, circumstances, our families and our communiities and see Father add his power to our words to see things on earth as they are in heaven.

God bless you abundantly today as we finish this fast.

Join us in Kingston for prayer at 7:30pm and a light meal at 8:30.

Love

Paul
