SAFEGUARDING

At KingsGate Church, we are committed to creating a healthy church and a safe space for everyone.

We recognise the ways in which both children and adults can be at risk of harm or abuse, and we work to build a culture that actively reduces the opportunity for abuse to occur.

Our goal is to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential, and where vulnerable adults can receive appropriate care and support.

We understand that within our church community, there are relationships of trust. These relationships grow best in healthy environments where openness, transparency, and accountability are prioritised. All staff and volunteers who work directly or indirectly with children and vulnerable adults are thoroughly vetted and receive training to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those in their care.

We believe that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone involved in the life of our church and its activities has a role to play in helping to keep children, young people, and adults safe.
