The Pride
Our children’s ministry is called ‘The Pride’ for many reasons. God is proud of our children, we are proud of our children and they are learning to increasingly be a close knit family of brothers and sisters who live their lives and serve God together as a team.
Our desire is for them to grow up together as a generation of people who are secure in their identity as sons and daughters of the King of kings, to know they were created and destined to be princes and princesses who extend God’s Kingdom over the whole earth and to understand that they are the present, not only the future.
The Lion encapsulates this identity, and Roary the lion, our mascot, is a fun expression of this for the children (and older children).
In The Pride at Kings Gate:
- We use our hearts to worship God extravagantly (worship)
- We join hands in love and friendship with each other (fellowship)
- We use our feet to take the Good News to our neighbours, community and the nations (evangelism)
- We use our shoulders to support and build each other up (discipleship)
- From our knees we humbly serve with the gifts God has given us (ministry)
